EDWARDSVILLE — The Madison County Sheriff’s Workplace continued late Wednesday to test to track down a guy who allegedly resisted a police officer, attempted to disarm a deputy, then fled on foot, Madison County Patrol Commander Capt. Will Dimitroff said.

At around 5:37 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office environment been given a call from a resident reporting “a suspicious white male” in the place of the 3400 block of Edwardsville Highway, in Edwardsville.

A deputy was dispatched to the space to examine and as the deputy approached the suspect, the suspect assaulted and tried to disarm the deputy, Dimitroff claimed to a reporter at about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. The deputy struggled with the suspect for far more than 60 seconds even though he experimented with to continue to keep the suspect from using his firearm, Dimitroff claimed.


“This resulted in a significant police existence tonight in the 3400 block of Edwardsville Highway,” Dimitroff stated. “Residents are reminded to lock their doors and do not open up the door for unfamiliar website visitors. The suspect has been identified, but remains at massive.“


The suspect is explained as a slender white male, with pink hair, sporting a black shirt, black pants and a fabric mask all-around his neck.

Quite a few law enforcement agencies were involved in the search for the male Wednesday.
