BROOKLYN Center, Minn. (AP) — A white Minnesota law enforcement officer who fatally shot a Black male in the course of a website traffic stop in a Minneapolis suburb and the city’s chief of law enforcement resigned Tuesday.
Officer Kim Potter and Law enforcement Chief Tim Gannon each resigned two times following the death of 20-12 months-old Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Centre.
Potter was a 26-12 months veteran. She had been on administrative go away following Sunday’s taking pictures.
Gannon has said he believed Potter mistakenly grabbed her gun when she was heading for her Taser. She can be heard on her body digicam video shouting “Taser! Taser!”

BROOKLYN Middle, Minn. (AP) — A white Minnesota police officer who fatally shot a Black person during a targeted traffic prevent in a Minneapolis suburb has resigned.
Kim Potter resigned on Tuesday, two times right after the dying of 20-year-old Daunte Wright.
The Brooklyn Center police chief stated he thinks Potter mistakenly grabbed her gun Sunday when she was heading for her Taser.
Potter can be read on her entire body digicam video clip shouting “Taser! Taser!” Activists say Wright was racially profiled.
His loss of life has sparked two times of clashes between law enforcement and protesters.
