Heads up Disneyland fans! We have information for you on how Disneyland will handle ticket sales for their April 30th reopening and beyond. We also have info for you on what attractions will be open, hotel reservations, booking dining reservations and more.
Theme park reservations begin April 12th (for previously purchased tickets) and April 15th for those who need to buy new tickets. You can check prices and availability for your previously purchased tickets right now!
UPDATE: We have some interesting updates for those of you trying for April 30th or June 4th tickets (the opening day of the parks and the day Avenger’s Campus opens respectively). If you are worried that all the spots will be taken by those booking on April 12th, don’t stress. Disney will be creating two buckets of availability for each day so folks on both days will have a similar chance of getting tickets.
UPDATE: note that we have new Rise of the Resistance virtual queuing info for you below!
This guide will continue to be updated with additional information as it becomes available.
Here’s When Disneyland Tickets Go On Sale
First, in order to gain entry to Disneyland, guests will need both a valid ticket AND a theme park reservation. Guests aged 3 and older will need both a valid ticket and reservation for the same day. There will be two different dates for ticket sales to resume. Those who already have valid tickets and those wishing to buy new tickets:
- EXISTING TICKET HOLDERS: For those holding valid tickets purchased prior to park shutdowns on March 14th 2020, you will be able to book your admission on April 12th. On April 9th, you’ll be able to check online to see what days are available for your ticket(s). Tickets will go on sale no earlier than 8am, so you’ll want to start checking then. Expiration dates for most tickets were recently extended and you can find more information on Disneyland’s ticket page. (You can now check the days your Disneyland ticket will be available)
- NEW TICKETS: For those wishing to purchase new tickets, sales will begin April 15th. Tickets will go on sale no earlier than 8am. Once they do, we expect popular dates to sell out fast.
There are no restrictions for the number of days a guest can book at one time, but guests will be limited to 10 tickets total per reservation. Until further notice, only California residents will be able to purchase tickets.
Disneyland Theme Park Ticket Prices
Prices will not be changing from what they were when the theme parks closed in 2020. Official pricing has been published:
Here’s our pricing list from last year before the shutdowns so you can see how prices have changed in recent years. The 2021 prices will be the same as the 2020 prices:
How to Make a Theme Park Reservation
If you don’t have tickets, you’ll need to buy those first. If you have multiple tickets you will be booking, you’ll have to created a “Party” first. Then follow the procedures for booking a park reservation on the Disneyland Theme Park Reservation System.
We expect theme park tickets to be available on an approximate 60 day in advance rolling basis.
Hotel Reservations
The Grand Californian Hotel reservations will resume April 15th. However, having a reservation does not guarantee admission into the parks. You’ll still need to book your ticket and make a park reservation separately. The Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel will open at a later date.

Theme Park Hours for BOTH Disneyland and California Adventure
Upon reopening, daily park hours for Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park are currently planned to be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit Disneyland.com for operating hours on the day you wish to visit, as they are subject to change.
Park-hopping Changes
Great news. Park-hopping WILL be available. However, if will work a little differently. You won’t be able to switch parks until 1pm.
MaxPass/FastPass
MaxPass and FastPass will NOT be available at first. However, a virtual queuing system will be used for Rise of the Resistance. The virtual queue for Rise will work a little differently than in the past. There will be two windows for booking. One at Disneyland opening and another in the afternoon after park-hopping begins for the day. That will allow those with park-hopper tickets to visit DCA in the morning and still try for a Rise of the Resistance spot at Disneyland in the afternoon. You’ll need a valid park hopper ticket and park reservation tied to your Disneyland App, to book that 2nd booking window from California Adventure if you aren’t in Disneyland yet.
Disneyland and California Adventure Attractions Expected to be Open on April 30th
This one is a bit fluid, but these are the attractions we expect to be open in the two parks on opening day.
