LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An East Bernstadt male is accused of assaulting Laurel County Sheriff John Root and other deputies throughout his arrest on Tuesday, in accordance to the sheriff’s business.
Investigators say 26-yr aged Derrick Tarvin is accused of preventing with a different gentleman, getting a handgun and firing it into the air and then punching Sheriff Root in the course of the arrest.
They say Tarvin fought with other deputies as they tried using to acquire him into custody.
Deputies say this took place on KY 3434 just north of London all over 12:45 p.m.
Investigators say Tarvin was beneath the affect.
He was charged with disorderly carry out 2nd diploma community intoxication-managed substances resisting arrest assault 3rd diploma-police officer is target assault 2nd diploma wanton endangerment 2nd degree and menacing, in accordance to investigators.
Tarvin was taken to jail in London.
